FAQ

About âme pure® Products:

What is the âme pure® CIT Roller?

The âme pure® CIT Roller is a cylindrical shaped drum studded with very fine needles. It is a device used in Collagen Induction Therapy to break down old scar tissue and to stimulate skin cells to proliferate. This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibers (neo-collagenesis) as well as in new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis). The procedures are called Scar Reduction Therapy (SRT) and Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT).

Collagen Induction Therapy with âme pure® CIT Roller works by stimulating your own body’s collagen. Your body will start to naturally regenerate the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. New skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It takes a couple of weeks before visible signs of regeneration appear and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a gradual and long lasting enhancement.

Scar Reduction Therapy with âme pure® CIT Roller works by releasing old fibrotic scar tissue deep within the skin. Scar tissue is what creates visible scars on the skin’s surface. The treatment will repair the skin naturally, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen and elastin fibers are formed, softening scars, generating new skin cells and enhancing blood supply.

What are the differences to other skin renewal techniques?

In contrast to all ablative techniques like lasers and fractional laser treatments, the âme pure® CIT roller stimulates new tissue formation – it acts constructively and the skin remains intact. The skin does not get damaged (unlike it is with other needling devices) and therefore will not go into a wound healing response (no scabs). The âme pure® CIT Roller significantly minimizes atrophic scars & improves skin texture.

What effects does the âme pure® CIT Roller have on the skin?

The âme pure® CIT Roller improves the thickness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This in return improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation. It reduces disfiguring scars and acne scars, stimulates new collagen fibers, improves blood supply and harmonizes pigmentation.

Can the âme pure® CIT Roller be used on any skin color?

Yes. Since the âme pure® CIT Roller does not use thermal heat (unlike IPL & lasers) it is safe to use on all skin types and all skin colors. There is no risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.

What products are recommended to use in conjunction with the âme pure® CIT Roller?

As the skin pores are opened during treatment, the topical application of 100% organic and natural products is essential. The absorption of products directly after the CIT Roller treatment is increased 10,000 times. It is for this reason why you should only use âme pure® natural Skin Care products during this crucial stage of treatment.

How long does it take to see improvement in the skin with Collagen Induction Therapy?

The effects of CIT Roller and skin healing results are very individual. However, after using CIT Roller, you will notice changes in your skin in the first weeks after the first treatment as the skin renews itself and collagen regrows. Collagen remodeling in normal skin takes at least 60 days, so the effects of this treatment may not be fully appreciated for at least one month after the procedure. But the effects last for years in most people.

How long do the effects of Collagen Induction Therapy last?

The new collagen produced by CIT lasts for a long time, unless the skin is further damaged by sun exposure, smoking, or other external factors. As the skin ages, some of the new collagen will also age.
